  • Artist, actress, certified champion trick dog, and truffle hunting dog “Tru” will be at Florence Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA) during the 2nd Saturday Gallery Tour. Tru will be sharing her art with visitors in a special display.   As an extra 2nd Saturday treat, the Siuslaw High School culinary team, headed by Kyle Lewis, will be catering Tru’s reception. There will be complimentary hors d’oeuvres, some made with truffles that Tru found.

• To celebrate the New Year, Backstreet Gallery members are showing an alternate to their usual media on display. This special photography exhibit is in addition to the unique variety of art already on display at the gallery. Celebrate with these artists and enjoy their photographs at receptions on both January 13 and February 10, 3 to 5 p.m., at the Second Saturday Gallery Tour.

  • By taking up the camera, these artists will show another creative side to their talents with innovative results. Members participating include Pattie Brooks Anderson, Kristin Anderson, Kathryn Damon-Dawson, Caroline Estill, Judy Fleagle, Claudia Ignatieff, John Leasure, Shelly Medeiros, Karen D. • For the Love of Animals Art Event

  • Friends of the Florence Events Center's 4th annual “For the Love of Animals!” exhibit at the FEC.

  • The Artist's Reception and Fundraiser for the Florence Area Humane Society will be on Saturday, February 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Oregon Coast Humane Society. At the reception, guests can buy raffle tickets to win a voucher for a portrait of their pet to be painted by well-known local artist Ron Hildenbrand.  The drawing will be held at 2:00 p.m.   A Valentine themed pet photo booth will also be available for guests to have photos taken of their pets. Family members can be in the photo too!  Photos will be available within minutes.

  • Complimentary refreshments will be served to delight pet owners and their pets!  A donation bin will be available for donations of pet food to be delivered to Oregon Coast Humane Society.  This exhibit will be a WIN WIN for ALL involved.
