Colleen Goodwin Chronister

The Florence Events Center, Gallery One, is pleased to exhibit the artwork of Colleen Goodwin-Chronister in Galleries One and Five.

​

Colleen Goodwin Chronister is a passionate painter who lives and works today from her home studio in Keizer, Oregon.  She has lived on the East and West Coasts and earned her Teaching Credential from CSU Fresno.  Painting has always been her first passion.  Since painting her first canvas at the age of eight, she has been creating paintings for over fifty years.  Colleen's style is contemporary realism.  Colleen’s exquisite oil paintings reflect a rich color palette, incredible depth, and meticulous attention to detail.  The painting process begins with an inspiring experience.  Next, a compositional sketch in thinned umber is drawn directly on the canvas.  Then, color blocking with wide brushes is applied to create mood.  Next comes a series of glazes to create depth and color intensity.
